Perseverance
David Blaine is a magician who likes to try risky and challenging tasks he believes that anything can be done, he likes to prove people wrong and show them that these things are possible. When he was small he was obsessed with Houdini and his under water challenges, David would compete with younger kids and see who could hold there breaths the longest. By the time he was a teenager he was able to hold his breath for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. In 1987 he heard about a story about a boy who fell in ice and was trapped in a river and was under not breathing for 45 minutes. When the rescue team came they were able to bring him back and he didn't have any brain damages at all, his core temperature dropped to 77 degrees. This interested David and he wanted to try and hold his breath for a long time because he thinks that if one person can do it then he can do it too.
David went to go see a doctor and asked him how long its possible to go with out breathing and the doctor told him that anything over 6 minutes he would end up having brain damage. David took this as a challenge, his first attempt he created a water tank and filled it with ice hoping his core temperature would drop but he didn't make it he couldn't even last a minute. He then tried to create a re-breather which was a tube and a balloon at the end and tried to put it in side him which he thought it would circulate the air and allow him to breath, but it ended up not working at all. David started to think and he thought of liquid breathing there's a chemical called perflubron its so high in oxygen levels that in theory you can breath it. He decided to fill the sink up with that chemical and tried to breath it in but that was impossible and he failed his attempt once again. David finally decided to just try it out he researched pearl divers and found something called static apnea that's holding your breath as long as you can with out breathing. David decided to break the record on live television, but before he did that he wanted to stay in a water tank for week with out eating. within two days the television producers decided it would be boring to just watch someone hold there breath under water so the decided to tie his feet. At seven minutes he started to black out and he once again failed.
When David failed he decided to call Opera and told her he wanted to hold his breathe longer than any one has ever done. They gave him four months to prepare he would sleep in a high toxic tent every night and this helped build the red blood cells which would help him carry oxygen better. David had competition the record to break was now at 16 minutes he was worried because he wasn't prepared for this much time. He then again trained to hold his breath longer, once he was ready they put him in a tank and monitored his heart rate. David was nervous and every time his heart rate went up he would hear it and get even more nervous. At 5 minutes he was trying to get his heart ate down but couldn't. At eight minutes he knew he couldn't do it but he didn't want to disappoint Opera so he went for ten minutes. At 15 minutes his heart rate was out of control he was scared to have a heart attack, at 16 minutes he floated to the top with his head still in the water and he didn't want to put his head up until he blacked out. At 16 minutes and 32 sec he heard a scream and realized he was close to breaking the record and he got excited and stayed under water and broke the record of 17 minutes and 4 seconds.

Being Charitable
Operation Smile is a medical service organization founded in 1982 by Dr Williams and his wife Kathleen. This charity provides cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children world wide that were unfortunately born with it. Operation smile develops many ways to raise money in order to help all the children with cleft lip issues. This Charity is very helpful to those children and its very easy to donate. A surgery for one child cost $240 and there's many different ways you can donate.
Dr. William and his Wife Kathleen who was a nurse and social worker traveled to the Philippines to go help the children in need of a surgery. Only 40 children were helped out of the 300 children that went. Dr.William and his wife realized they needed to help these children so they decided to fundraiser and get more doctors to help. Over all they have 18 doctors and nurses and went back to the Philippines and helped 100 children but yet many children were left unhelped. This charity is very important because it helps children get back the smile that they were supposed to be born with.
Operation smile is an important charity to me because I love children and babies. I think that every baby deserves to have a beautiful smile. No child should be picked on because they were born with a cleft lip. Operation Smile is my favorite charity because it helps those families that cant afford to get there baby operated. I know that any donation to Operation smile will get a child closer to having a beautiful smile and not a cleft lip.

My Top Three Candy's
My Top Three Favorite Candy's
1. Sour Gummy Worms
Ever since I was little I have loved these gummy worms. There so good but my favorite is the pink and blue one. Every time I go to the store I make sure I get some and when I get home I put some chamoy on them and munch out.
2. Rellerindos
Rellerindos is the typical mexican candy, when ever I go to T.J I always buy a bag because there so good. They taste like tamarindo but there a little bit spicy in a way. As soon as you put them in your mouth you can tell how good they are.
3. Pelon
If I had to choose between these three candy's I would pick this one, because these are just so good. I'm sure everyone would say that this candy is just Bomb. I love taking the bottom off and just eating it like that because you get more of the candy.
